Sculpture

In 2016 I completed my first large scale sculptural commission. This sculpture was for a school. I wanted it to be interactive and relevant to the children. I took the school's logo of wings, a crown and a sword and gave it a more contemporary twist. Each child who participated in the project is represented  by their house colour, and they created a personal logo, which appears in the coloured resin. It is an interactive sculpture, so the children can stand on the plinth to replace the sword, thus visually completing the crest and the visual metaphor which symbolises the emotional, intellectual, and physical strength hopefully derived  from their education. Viewed from another direction a child seated on the plinth will appear to have large colourful wings!

If you are interested in commissioning a sculpture then I'd love to hear from you.
